For almost two decades, Hidden Pond Day Camp at The Rinx has been providing exciting summers for 4 year olds through tenth graders. Our Athletic Program offers instruction in more than 20 sports, while the Creative and Performing Arts Program offers everything from drama and music to painting and plaster crafts. Usdan is a not-for-profit performing and visual arts day camp, hailed by Time magazine as one of “the most unique” in the country. The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center is a real working farm and your children’s key to a unique summer experience. There is a wide variety of week-long programs for preschoolers through high school students. Farm-themed camps are grouped according to age. One camp focuses on exploring nature and environmental issues. There are also quilting camps and an exciting veterinary medicine career exploration camp that provides older kids with a more in-depth and hands-on experience. Sprinkler time helps campers to cool off, and everyone enjoys wagon rides and time with the animals each day. Nestled on the grounds of the beautiful Farmingdale State College campus, their fun-filled camp program has been running successfully for over 20 years. The majority of the day is spent outdoors engaging in various sports activities. The sports activities include kickball, volleyball and basketball and other group activities. Arts and Crafts are available during the day, and there are weekly special events. Organized swimming at the college’s indoor pool is enjoyable rain or shine. Seven of the eight weeks campers will attend exciting outings such as Adventureland, Splish Splash and other area attractions.
